Information We Process
Final Grade Calcs does not require an account, payment, or file upload. The grades, weights, courses, and credits you type into our calculators are processed in your browser so the calculator can show results immediately.
We do not ask you to submit those calculator inputs to a server. Like most websites, hosting providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps in server logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
How We Use Information
Calculator inputs are used only to calculate your result in the page you are using. Basic technical logs, if available from hosting providers, may be used to keep the site available and troubleshoot errors. Analytics information is used to understand broad traffic and usage patterns and improve the site's calculators and content.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Analytics) to understand how people find and use Final Grade Calcs. In its default web implementation, Google Analytics may collect session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and the page URL and title.
Google Analytics may use a first-party cookie such as _ga and a client identifier to distinguish users and sessions. Calculator values are not sent to Google Analytics.
Google processes Analytics data as a third-party service provider. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and what Google Analytics collects by default.
Third-Party Services
The site may be hosted by infrastructure providers that deliver static files and maintain operational logs, and it uses Google Analytics as described above. We do not currently provide user accounts, payment processing, file uploads, or personalized advertising features.
Data Retention
Calculator values remain in your browser page while you use the tool and are not intentionally stored by Final Grade Calcs. Hosting logs, if retained by an infrastructure provider, follow that provider's retention practices. Analytics data is retained according to the settings configured for our Google Analytics property and Google's applicable retention practices.
Your Choices
You can clear calculator values by refreshing the page or closing the browser tab. You can also clear browser storage for this site to remove saved theme preferences and Analytics cookies, or use browser privacy settings and content-blocking tools to limit Analytics.
Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking Analytics does not prevent the calculators from working because calculations run in your browser.
